What Happens When Kids Dance With Us

By choosing to dance with us, your child will…

  • improve their motor skills & coordination

  • gain strength & flexibility

  • make new friends & learn how to be part of a team

  • gain confidence & trust in their ability to do hard things

  • learn discipline & respect for themselves and others

  • and so much more!

We truly believe that dance is the best activity for kids, as it allows them to grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. No other activity checks as many boxes as dance does!

About Our Kids Program

Quality Teachers

Our teachers have collegiate credentials in dance, or certifications from reputable dance organizations. We also require continuing education from all of our instructors. You can trust that each instructor is qualified to teach your child!

Structured Curriculum

We are proud to be a Once Upon a Ballet licensed studio! The Once Upon a Ballet curriculum teaches ballet, tap, and jazz through imagination and storytelling, with fun themes like fairy tales, nature & seasons, nursery rhymes, and classical ballets.

Safe Dance Training

We follow best practices from current dance and exercise science, including safe stretching protocols, proper warm-ups and cool-downs, and age appropriate conditioning exercises for students.

 FAQs

  • All of our kids' classes are labeled by age, and are currently NOT leveled, so you can choose any class that matches their age.

When you fill out the sign-up form, you will request which classes you would like your child to take.

  • We will provide a FREE leotard for your child at their first class. They should plan to wear socks until they have dance shoes.

At your first class, we will size your child, and their registration fee will include 1 full uniform.

Students love having more than one outfit to wear to dance class! Our dress code is available at shopnimbly.com/whitemountaindancestudio, and they can wear any items from the correct age group on our Shop Nimbly page.

Please arrive dressed for class as we do run our classes back to back, and do not have space or time for changing. Hair should be pulled back into a bun.

  • Please bring a water bottle. We have a water filling station, and bottled water for sale if your child forgets their water bottle. We recommend bringing a snack if your child is taking more than one class in a row.

  • Please fill out the form located in the buttons on this page. After filling out the form, we will confirm the date of your child’s first class with you.

Your first class is $30, which also includes their FREE leotard. If you enroll the day of their first class, we will give you a significant discount on their registration fee.

  • Our classes are open enrollment and run year-round, so you can join anytime.

We do recommend joining towards the beginning of the school term in order to maximize the amount of weeks your child has to learn the dances for our upcoming showcases.

If your student joins late in the semester, it is possible that it will be too late to purchase a costume for them to perform in.

Please contact us if you have questions about when to start.

  • For your first class, you are welcome to stay and observe the class through our lobby windows.

After your first class, we recommend that you do NOT stay, as our lobby is a very small size. Your child will be well taken care of, and we will call or text you if any emergencies arise!

We DO offer several daytime classes where you can take a fitness class while your child takes class!

  • Parking is available on the north and south sides of our building. If parking spaces fill, there is more parking
in the strip mall behind Elkhorn Cabinets.

  • Dance is the place for kids’ dreams to come true! And along the way, they’ll grow socially and emotionally, develop motor skills, and learn other important life skills like teamwork, discipline, and how to work towards a goal.

At your first class, we’re happy to help talk through any concerns you may have. Additionally, we encourage being prepared to try more than one class. Dance is a fun, exciting, life-changing activity, but some kids need a few classes before they feel comfortable in an unfamiliar space with new people.

  • Enrolled students pay approximately $18 per class.

  • Yes, scholarships are available for students in financial need through the non-profit White Mountain Inspiration. Please contact us for an application.

  • Yes, we are an ESA vendor and students can pay for their dance tuition and uniforms through Class Wallet. Please contact us to set up payment through Class Wallet.

  • Other than class tuition, please be prepared to pay a registration fee, which includes your child’s class uniform, and a costume fee for our winter and spring showcase. Additionally, showcases are ticketed, and all attendees will need to pay for a ticket.

We periodically have other items for purchase, such as merchandise or photos, or special events. None of these are required.

All performances are optional, but please let us know in advance if your student will not perform so we can make the appropriate adjustments to our choreography.

Our Policies

  • Pre-registration is required for all classes. Classes with low enrollment will be canceled. If we cancel a class you are signed up for, your class credit will be returned to your account.

  • Can't make a class or lesson? Cancel at least 12 hrs before class - late cancels and no shows result in the class or lesson credit being marked as used.

  • Memberships are on autopay and renew on the same date each month. They can be canceled anytime after your second payment through your account. If you cancel your membership, you have until the end of your current billing period to use the rest of your class or lesson credits. No extensions, no exceptions! Thank you for understanding.

  • On memberships, unused classes rollover to the next month.

  • All purchases have expiration dates, including, but not limited to, new student specials, drop-ins, punchcards, open studio, and private lessons.

  • Class passes and memberships must be purchased per person, and cannot be shared with others (with the exception of guest passes). Partners are welcome at private lessons for no additional cost.

  • Socials, practice labs, workshops, and performances are separate pricing.

  • We do not allow refunds or credits for any service based purchases, including, but not limited to, classes, private lessons, open studio, studio rentals, events, and ticket sales. In lieu of refunds, you may request to transfer your purchase (i.e. class or lesson credits) to another person. You may request who this transfer goes to, however, we reserve the right to refuse the transfer or to transfer it to one of our students in financial need. In addition, please note that all service based purchases, including, but not limited to, new student specials, drop-ins, punchcards, private lessons, open studio sessions, and canceled memberships have expiration dates that will be strictly held to. Refunds may be given for physical items purchased in-studio within 30 days, if the item is in like-new condition. For sanitary reasons, leotards and tights may not be returned.
